Following the mission statement of the Petit Family Foundation (from Plainville, CT), students learned about similar needs in another region of the United States of America. This gave students a focus of “providing help to educate young people (especially in the sciences), help support those with chronic illnesses, and help to protect those affected by violence” (https://www.petitfamilyfoundation.org/about/).
Students then created a PSA project to raise awareness of the problem, its effect on that community, and how people could help/donate to the causes they have chosen. These PSAs took the form of a digital poster that they then shared with the Windham community.
