Haley Grabowski » Hi there!

Hi there!

My name is Ms. Haley Grabowski and I am one of the School Counselors here at Windham Middle School. This will be my first year as a School Counselor, and I am overjoyed to be starting my career here!

A little bit about me… I was born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut and recently moved to Glastonbury, Connecticut. I went to Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), where I majored in communication and minored in psychology. I had such a positive experience at CCSU that I went on to get my masters in school counseling there, too. Along the way, I was a mentor, a substitute teacher and a special education paraprofessional.

I enjoy all things that involve the outdoors and being active, including hiking, kayaking, biking, and working out. I love nothing more than to visit state parks and find new hiking trails to explore with my family, friends, and my dog, Bruce.  I also love baking homemade breads (especially banana and babka).

As we all know, the experience of attending middle school is a time of transition and coincides with a moment in students’ lives for personal growth and personal awareness. Their personalities are unique and emerging as they discover who they are.

As they progress through their schooling, students may face a time where they will need to overcome a barrier to their learning.

One of my responsibilities as a School Counselor is to help all students overcome any barriers to their learning so that they can reveal their full potential. I will be there every step of the way and we will always work together towards a goal to help them grow in the areas of academic achievement, career and social/emotional development.

I am a firm believer that each student is capable of continual growth and high levels of achievement, and I am committed to providing quality and equitable mental health services at Windham Middle School.

Should you have any questions, concerns, recommendations, or positive news to share, please feel free to contact me via email or phone. I am always available to talk and my door will always be open to lend a safe, welcoming space for anyone to share their thoughts. 😊

I am very excited to start the 2020-2021 school year and to get to know each and every one of you!

Kind regards,

Ms. Haley Grabowski
